Ingredients
pork loin or rib chops 6 (3 oz. each) (85 g each)
flour 2 Tbsp. (30 ml)
margarine or butter 2 tsp. (10 ml)
rosemary 1/2 tsp. (2.5 ml)
basil leaves 1/2 tsp. (2.5 ml)
sliced onions 1 1/2 cups (355 ml)
sage 1/2 tsp. (2.5 ml)
water 1 cup (235 ml)
chopped tomato 1 cup (235 ml)
pepper 1/8 tsp. (.5 ml)
 
Instructions
Coat chops with flour.

Melt margarine in large oven-proof skillet.

Brown chops in margarine over medium-high heat.

Add onions, sage, rosemary, basil, pepper, tomatoes, and water.

Cover and simmer 30 minutes.

 

Chops and steaks may be brushed with oil and then sprinkled with spices and herbs one hour before cooking.
